Tucked away at the end of a dead end street, Embers has been one of Mission's hidden gems since it opened in 2003. With fresh homemade bread baked in house daily, premium meats done on an open grill and family recipes that have been passed down from owners of years ago, Embers' menu features a variety of delicious choices.
Some of my favourites include the lemon tarragon salmon wrap, the home-cut fries (these get me every time) and the Caesar salad. The Caesar is definitely one of my tops in town.
Not only is the food great, but Embers is uniquely located off the beaten path, with a lovely patio that makes you feel as if you have left the city centre, although it is literally one block off the highway.
Nothing better than sitting on the patio, eating a delicious salmon wrap and chilling out while the world rushes by.
Embers is a also a great option for catering small and medium events. I am always excited to attend a meeting or event if Embers is guaranteed to be there!
